Aphogee 2step-Drum Roll!!!

OK so i decided on finally trying that Aphogee 2step protein everyone been talking about. Im not a big fan of protein because of my last encounter with the ORS Hair Mayo. So being on Hairlista just makes you want to try new things whether its oils or some weird rinse concoction lol but its been fun and helpful. So Last Monday i did my Aphogee 2 step protein treatment.

I bought the little packs that comes with both the protein and the moisture treatment.

I made sure i borrowed an over head hair dryer so i can followed the directions as is:

Shake well before use. Gently cleanse hair with ApHOGEE Shampoo. Rinse thoroughly and towel blot. Apply enough ApHOGEE Treatment to thoroughly saturate hair and comb blend for even distribution. Leave hair uncovered. Do not use a plastic cap, and seat client under medium heat dryer. (Alternatively, a hand dryer may be used, but hair should not be agitated while drying.)
Note: When ApHOGEE Treatment is dried into the hair, the hair becomes extremely hard. Do not comb or brush hair while ApHOGEE Treatment is dried and in the hair. Re-wet and gently rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Apply ApHOGEE Moisturizer to hair & scalp. Leave for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Proceed to next service or style as usual.

My steps:
shampoo
apply treatment (i put it in a spray bottle n sprayed all over.)
sat under dryer for 25 min till hair was hard as rock
rinse the treatment out
apply moisturizing treatment in sections
sat under dryer for 2 min (well 5 min to make sure)
Deep Condition
leave in conditioner
Seal style.

Results:
My hair feel softer and more manageable,
1 week later my hair doesn't shed as much as b4, and no longer as dry.

So i guess it worked!!!
Thumbs up- thanks for reading.:)

Water Challenge!!!!!!!! Thirsty much??

A few days ago i decide im gonna Challenge my self to drink water. Yes it sound silly, everybody drinks water right??? Wrong!!! Ask yourself these questions:
How much water do i drink?
How often do i drink it?
Am i consistent?
Is is everyday, one in a blue?
Is is only when I eat?

By the answer to your question you can tell if you need to do a water challenge.. why you ask??
Because Water is good for you

The functions of water in human body are vital. The water:
  • Transports nutrients and oxygen into cells
  • Moisturizes the air in lungs
  • Helps with metabolism
  • Protects our vital organ
  • Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
  • Regulates body temperature
  • Detoxifies
  • Protects and moisturizes our joints
Every cell in your body needs water from head to toe. That is why it is so important to drink enough fluid. Take for example, brain consists of 90% of water, if you do not supply enough water to your body, your brain cannot function well, and you will get headache or migraine. Hence, next time, if you feel fatigue and headache, it may be the sign of dehydration

Especially if you doing a Hair journey like me, You need water in your life

This is my challenge:

WEEK 1- DRINK AT LEAST 2 BOTTLES OF WATER A DAY
WEEK 2- 2 1/2 BOTTLES OR 3
WEEK 3- 3 BOTTLES
WEEK 4- 4 BOTTLES= 8OZ

BY REQUIREMENT ITS BEST TO DRINK AT LEAST 8OZ OF WATER PER DAY. I have 16.9fl oz bottles so 4 bottles

HOPE THIS WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND MOTIVATED YOU
GOOD LUCK TO ME AND YOU!!!

Hair Question....Answer

This is a nice conversation/ hair update with me and my Bff. I love when ppl ask question because it urges me to do more research, help them and see also what else i need to add to my regimen. Alright here we go...

What hair products do u use again? And where can I find it?

 - Well i use numerous products for now. I have a previous post about my hair regimen down below {wink wink). Im still on the search for a moisturizing shampoo with no sulfate and no mineral oil, until them im using treseme, it does have sulfate but it does not strip my hair of moisture. For conditioner i rotate the treseme for hair breakage and the VO5 moisture milk which i use for cowashing. And i always add EVOO or coconut oil to my conditioners for extra moisture.
Sulfate- strips your hair of all moisture and anything you previously added to it
Mineral Oil- Block any moisture from nourishing the hair and scalp. its pointless to have a moisturizer with mineral   oil. yuck!

I was watching one of ur vids with te castors oil and stuff*the one with the castor oil and what is evoo?

EVOO- extra virgin olive oil
Coconut oil- open your pores nourishes the scalp. good for hair growth.

Oh ok ... Ur hair looked mad healthy lol since the wedding (July) it grew bak a lot !!! But I really like the oil treatment u were doing shampoo wise I'm still using the biotin shampoo from GNC it's really good..

After my braids my hair got weak again but its back to normal, I condition once a week nowBiotin is good for the hair, im gonna look into that.

Click here for My hair update from b4 the wedding n on..

I haven't permed it since the wedding (July)!!! But I need to start treatin it Bc it's growing but it's mad dry o I kno I need some kind of moisture

Dryness=Breakage.
you need oil treatments, deep conditioner. and moisturizing and sealing your hair every night, but i only do it every other night if i have a weave in i oil my scalp with Castor oil or Wild growth oil.

Click here for my  Hot oil treatment

U perm ur own hair or u get it done

I do everything my self except for trim.

Oh never mind I messed myself up tryna perm I think that's the only thing that I won't be doing anymore! Do u wrap/set urself too if so how?

I stretch my perms last time was 4 month, i had braids in so my hair got tangled. now im going for 3 minimum i don't wanna risk it. i don't know how to roller set so i used to blow dry, flat iron and wrap but since my hair journey i haven't used any heat on my hair so i wet wrap. first time i did it it came out very straight and shiny.

-I have a couple links on my blog about building a regimen, whatever i can do do help let me know.

-my first step into all this was watching YouTube videos so good luck

A Poem to My father

you were a rebel, a leader,
a listener of your own voice cuz can no one tell you differently,
you called your own shots, (wonder where i get that from)
you even knew it was your time to go, at 51 you did it all,
you had the highest of high to the lowest of lows
but yu never gave up, yu was a fighter,
stick to your own words until proven otherwise-
i admired that.

you made enemies, friends and some friends turn to enemies
but hey they couldnt hang,-i admire that too.
when God said "wrap it up" you made peace with everyone,
even tho you heard him you didn't quite believe him.
Jan 2nd your breath cutting short was your wake up call,
so this time you listened and accepted God.
you made peace with all on earth and peace with God.
He blessed you by ending your suffering
