August 22 2011
After reading all these articles about growing hair to mid back and all different lenght i wanted to give it a try. I always wanted long hair and my hair nvr ever grow passs neck lenght, going on this hair journey is a perfect opportunity to put my hair to the test.
I did soooo much reading and research, wasted so much water in my house and invested soo much money...its ridiculous but at the end it was ALL WORTH IT.

What i learned::
How to listen to my hair and give it what it needs
How to do my own treatments instead of going to hair salon
How to do my own deep conditioners
Overall i learned whats good for ny hair and what's not good. For example; mineral oil and petroleum (yuck)

I will be updating this with pictures but here's what i have so far...

August 29th wash day:Honey PrePoo

I always wanted to try the honey pre-poo so I took this opportunity to take advantage. Here's how it went.
With my dry hair i first wet my hands and apply some 100% honey on my hair
then i apply some of my moisturizing conditioner, the next thing i did was apply some oil to my scalp and hair.
To get the deep conditioning effect, i did my double shower cap and scarf method and left it on for an hour with no heat.

...minding my business....

Part2
Yum by the time I remembered my hair it was nicely moist and warm. sounds yucky but that's a great thing for hair. I rinsed, wash with my moisturizing shampoo, rinsed, apply leave in conditioner to towel dry hair. Finally i MS my hair for the night.

My Opinion:
The honey pre-poo is great it does add moisture to your hair. Some people dont add all the stuff i did but i didn't have that much honey left so i had to improvise. But if you are going to try it, i suggest you try honey only, unless you want to be creative. In that case Good Luck!
